GDPR Compliance Statement

Marketinshort honors its users’ rights to data privacy and protection. We have continuously demonstrated our commitment to privacy protection by exceeding industry standards. We believe that our current company practices are very respectful of our users’ privacy and all the applicable privacy laws. Nevertheless, at Marketinshort, we foster a privacy-conscious culture and welcome GDPR compliance as another opportunity to ensure that we do even better.

On 25th May 2018, the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) launched by EU replaced the existing 1995 European Data Protection Directive. Owing to the advancements in digital era, the GDPR is more comprehensive version of privacy laws in-line with today’s fast paced data-driven world in order to ensure the protection of personal data.

Our Commitment

Marketinshort (‘we’ or ‘us’ or ‘our’) currently complies with applicable data protection and regulations and is committed to high standards of information security, data privacy, and transparency. We believe that our world is being reshaped by data and it is of utmost importance to define data governance, data processing activities, and data compliance (who owns it, uses it and how it’s protected). We are sincerely committed to GDPR compliance and we recognize our obligations in continuously updating and expanding our measures to keep-up with the demands of the GDPR.

Our ongoing compliance efforts include:

  • Thorough assessment of current practices

Marketinshort has constantly reviewed where and how our website and relevant services collect, use, store and dispose the users’ personal data. The company has updated policies, governance, standards, and documentation consecutively, wherever needed. We are dedicated to keeping such due diligence up-to-date and carrying out re-assessments periodically and/or as required by changed circumstances. We ensure that even our automated processes do not collect and process users’ personal information beyond what is required for the functioning of our services. We have also reviewed our existing supplier contracts to ensure GDPR compliance throughout the supply chain and will continue to conduct due diligence as new suppliers are onboarded.

  • Guarding your data

Marketinshort is a company that commits and stays in compliance with best practices associated with information security. In line with GDPR, appropriate measures are assessed in terms of a variety of factors including the sensitivity of the data, the risks to individuals associated with any security breach, state of the art technologies, and the nature of the processing.

we have introduced mechanisms to identify a potential personal data breach, how these will be investigated and reported, where necessary within 72 hours. We are constantly in the process of earning additional security certifications and data privacy seals. We are also documenting our processes and procedures, down to the tiniest details of what we do.

In addition to ensuring Riverbed’s contractual commitments meet the requirements to legally transfer data from the EU to the rest of the world under applicable law, Riverbed plans to certify under the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework.

All Riverbed employees must complete data privacy and security training. Riverbed will supplement existing training modules with GDPR-specific content. In addition to these training requirements, Riverbed conducts ongoing awareness initiatives on a variety of topics, including data protection, security and privacy.

Riverbed Partners and Customers

Compliance with the GDPR requires a partnership between Riverbed and our partners and customers in their use of applicable Riverbed services. In this context, Riverbed generally will act as a data processor and our partners and customers generally will act as data controllers. Working together, we hope to explore opportunities within our relevant service offerings to assist our partners and customers meet their GDPR obligations. In the meantime, Riverbed encourages partners and customers to independently familiarize themselves with the GDPR.
